This webinar will present a comprehensive program for treating sexually compulsive behavior. The proposed program integrates concurrent treatment components for sexual compulsivity and life trauma. The treatment package includes classic methods for treating sexual addiction and contemporary approaches for resolving trauma and restoring capacity for intimacy. Individual, family, and group modalities balance constraint and release in the trauma/addiction relapse cycle to restore innate resources for creativity, spirituality, and intimacy. Five stages of recovery will be described: Facilitating Healing, Implementing Change, Reconstructing Self, Reconstructing Family, and Advocating Health.

Working with childhood trauma requires much more than competence in EMDR, internal family systems, exposure Therapy or Cognitive Reprocessing. This workshop will outline a structured approach to trauma treatment including stabilization, pacing, addictive, behavior control, relationships, affect expression and tolerance, tolerance memory work, transference and counter transference, cognitive restructuring, expressive therapies and meaning making. This workshop will deal with each of these areas with a clinician with more then 13 years of experience.
Clients with Bi Polar Disorder are often desperate for psychotherapy targeted at stress reduction, structuring a stable lifestyle, cognitive therapy for depression, anticipatory guidance for hypo-manic mood swings, suicide prevention, false conclusions about medications and relationship struggles in addition, dealing with childhood issues. Often with bipolar, relatives can aggravate or further precipitate a bipolar crisis. This workshop will review therapies for bipolar disorder that can greatly decrease morbidity.
