Megan joins the Harmony Place team after spending several years working as a therapist in an outpatient mental health agency in Santa Cruz with individuals, couples, and families. Prior to this, she worked in multiple outpatient settings during practicum, which included court mandated therapy, agency work, and school-based therapy. This allowed her the opportunity to hone her therapy skills with a variety of client needs.

She earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Adler University in Chicago, and prior to that received an undergraduate degree in Psychology.

Prior to returning to school for her therapy degree, Megan worked in child welfare in both residential treatment centers and one-on-one with clients. She is trained in family systems theory and uses experiential techniques and cognitive behavioral skills to help clients become more connected to their emotions.

She spends her free time at the beach with her dogs, enjoys socializing with friends, and being outside.
